United Kingdom

from 1,500€

A UK company is a practical choice for consultants, online stores, agencies and technology businesses.

Remote incorporation and the option to appoint non-resident directors make it accessible to international founders.

Ongoing administration can also be straightforward: qualifying small companies and micro-entities can use simplified annual accounts. This helps smaller businesses keep reporting proportionate while building their client base and expanding internationally.

International payments are another advantage. Eligible businesses can apply to providers such as Wise and Revolut for multi-currency services, while selected providers offer corporate crypto features.

Corporation Tax ranges from 19% to 25%, depending on profits and eligibility. For UK-established businesses, the £90,000 VAT registration threshold can give smaller companies room to grow before registration becomes compulsor.

Seychelles

from 3,400€

A Seychelles International Business Company (IBC) is an option for international trading, service businesses and holding company structures. It can bring overseas contracts, shareholdings and business assets together under one corporate entity.

Formation can be arranged remotely. Foreign shareholders and non-resident directors can own and manage the company, making the structure accessible to founders whose customers and operations are based internationally.

A key attraction is the territorial tax framework: qualifying foreign-sourced income can fall outside Seychelles business tax. The outcome depends on where activities take place, the income type and whether multinational-group or economic substance rules apply.

Ongoing administration is coordinated through our local professionals, including annual renewals and corporate records.

Hong Kong

from 3,300€

Hong Kong is a practical base for businesses buying from Asian suppliers and selling internationally. It is particularly relevant for trading, sourcing, e-commerce and companies connecting Chinese manufacturers with overseas customers.

Its established commercial infrastructure brings shipping, logistics, finance and professional services together in one location. For businesses working across Asia, this can make supplier relationships and regional operations easier to organise.

Eligible corporations pay Profits Tax at 8.25% on their first HK$2 million of assessable profits and 16.5% above that amount. Hong Kong also has no VAT or general sales tax, simplifying one part of everyday commercial administration.

Profits are generally taxed according to their source rather than simply where customers pay from. Overseas income therefore needs a proper assessment, including the foreign-sourced income rules applicable to certain multinational-group entities.

Costa Rica

from 3,200€

Costa Rica is worth considering for businesses developing commercial relationships in Central America. Trading, tourism-related services and companies supporting international customers can use a local entity to organise contracts, suppliers and regional operations.

It makes particular sense when the company has a clear commercial purpose: entering the local market, working with regional partners or establishing an operating presence alongside an existing international business.

Costa Rica generally follows a territorial approach to business taxation, focusing on income generated by activities, assets or capital within the country. Having overseas customers alone does not establish that income is foreign-sourced.

The practical benefit is the possibility of matching a corporate structure to genuine cross-border activities. Where work is performed and how income is earned matter more than the location of the bank account receiving payment.

Singapore

from 4,200€

Strong option for businesses building an Asian headquarters, managing regional suppliers or expanding technology and professional services. Its concentration of banks, logistics providers and international businesses supports companies planning substantial regional growth.

A Singapore company can bring customer contracts, regional management and commercial partnerships into one structure. It is especially relevant when the business needs an operating base in Asia alongside its international activities.

Corporate Income Tax is 17%, with partial exemptions and a separate start-up exemption scheme available to qualifying companies. These can reduce the tax payable on an initial portion of profits, subject to the relevant conditions.

Foreign founders can establish a company, but at least one director must ordinarily reside in Singapore. Local governance and administration should therefore be planned from the outset, alongside banking and the company’s intended operations.

Curaçao

from 4,300€

Curaçao is worth considering for businesses building a Caribbean presence, coordinating regional trade or developing international service operations. A local company can support commercial contracts, supplier relationships and activities connected with the region.

It can also form the corporate foundation of a separately licensed gaming project. Company formation and gaming authorisation are distinct steps, allowing the structure to be planned around the actual operating model.

Under the general profit-tax regime, the first 500,000 in local-currency taxable profit is taxed at 15%, with 22% applying above that amount. Special treatment depends on the activity and the applicable eligibility requirements.

Businesses can submit profit-tax returns through the local online portal. The most useful structure is one that brings the company’s activities, management, banking and ongoing reporting together from the beginning.

Mauritius

from 3,800€

Mauritius is worth exploring for international trading, investment holding and businesses coordinating activities between African and Asian markets. The choice of company structure can be matched to the income, ownership and management arrangements involved.

There is a particularly concrete opportunity for qualifying goods-trading businesses: the tax rules recognise certain international buying and selling arrangements even where goods are shipped directly between overseas countries without entering Mauritius.

The standard corporate income tax rate is 15%, while qualifying export-of-goods income can benefit from a 3% rate. Partial exemptions are also available for specified income categories, including certain foreign dividends and interest.

These benefits depend on the activity and applicable conditions. For partial exemptions, requirements can include local income-generating activities, suitably qualified personnel and proportionate expenditure, making the operating arrangements an important part of the structure.

Canada, Ontario

from 3,100€

An Ontario company is a practical option for businesses developing Canadian customer relationships, hiring locally or establishing a North American operation. It can give consulting, software, e-commerce and trading businesses a local contracting entity.

The strongest reason to choose Canada is a clear commercial connection with the market: customers, staff, suppliers or expansion plans. This gives the company a defined role within the wider business.

For ordinary business income subject to general rates in Ontario, the combined federal and provincial corporate tax rate is generally 26.5%. Lower small-business rates depend on eligibility, including Canadian-controlled private corporation status.

International founders should therefore assess tax according to the actual ownership structure. A Canadian company can support market entry and local operations, while its tax position is planned around who controls it and where business is conducted.

Estonia

from 2,200€

Estonia is particularly convenient for digital businesses that want an EU company with online administration. Consultants, agencies, software developers and online service providers can use its digital infrastructure to manage corporate matters from abroad.

With an e-Residency digital ID, founders can register a company, sign documents and access business services online. This can reduce paperwork and make administration easier for internationally distributed teams.

A major advantage is that retained profits are generally not subject to Estonian corporate income tax until distributed. This leaves more funds inside the company for recruitment, product development, marketing and other business investment.

Distributed profits are generally taxed at 22/78 of the net distribution.

Latvia

from 2,300€

Latvia is worth considering for trading, logistics, e-commerce and service businesses building an EU presence. It can suit founders who want to develop an operating company and keep investing earnings into its growth.

Its strongest tax advantage concerns the timing of taxation. Profits retained and reinvested in the business are generally not subject to corporate income tax simply because they have been earned.

Under the standard regime, distributed profits are taxed at 20% of the grossed-up taxable base, equivalent to 25% of the net dividend. Certain expenses and deemed distributions can also trigger tax.

For growing businesses, this can leave more cash available for stock, equipment, recruitment and expansion before dividends are paid. It is a useful distinction for founders who prioritise reinvestment over regularly withdrawing all profits.

Lithuania

from 2,500€

Lithuania is a practical option for technology, e-commerce and professional service businesses building an EU operation. A local company can bring European contracts, recruitment and supplier relationships into one corporate structure.

For smaller businesses, the attraction also includes specific tax reliefs. These can make Lithuania worth comparing with other EU jurisdictions when the company is starting out or operating with modest annual revenue.

The standard corporate income tax rate is 17%. Qualifying small companies with annual revenue up to €300,000 may benefit from a 7% rate, subject to the conditions and exclusions in the tax rules.

Eligible newly established small companies may qualify for a 0% rate during their first two tax periods. The combination of EU operations and targeted small-business relief can support a business as it builds its initial customer base.

Poland

from 2,500€

Poland is worth considering when your business needs more than a registered address: a customer market, employees, suppliers or a distribution base. Trading, logistics, manufacturing and service companies can build their operations around these practical needs.

A Polish company can bring local sales, recruitment and supplier contracts together while supporting wider European expansion. It is particularly relevant for businesses planning a team, stockholding or day-to-day operations in the country.

The standard corporate income tax rate is 19%. A reduced 9% rate may apply to qualifying small taxpayers and new businesses on income other than capital gains, subject to revenue limits and other conditions.

The lower rate can help eligible businesses retain more of their operating profits during growth. Eligibility should be checked against both current and previous-year revenue rules and how the company was established.

Hungary

from 2,100€

Hungary is an option for businesses planning trading, manufacturing, logistics or service operations in Central Europe. Its location makes it relevant to companies coordinating suppliers and customers across neighbouring European markets.

A local company can support recruitment, commercial contracts and an operating base for regional expansion. It is particularly worth comparing when both the location of operations and the tax cost matter to the project.

The standard corporate income tax rate is 9%, a clear attraction for businesses comparing European jurisdictions. The tax applies to an adjusted taxable base, rather than automatically to the profit shown in the accounts.

Local business tax and other applicable charges must also be included when comparing costs. The practical decision should bring together corporate tax, payroll, premises and the requirements of the intended business activity.

Maldives

from 3,300€

The Maldives is most relevant to businesses with a clear connection to its tourism and island economy. Hospitality, marine services, resort supply and related projects can explore opportunities built around local customers and commercial partnerships.

For foreign investors, the proposed activity determines the available route. Sector eligibility, ownership conditions and investment approval should be established before choosing the company structure and committing to the project.

For companies other than banks, taxable income up to MVR 500,000 is taxed at 0%, with 15% applying to the portion above that threshold. Maldives-resident companies are generally taxed on worldwide income.

The jurisdiction is therefore best assessed around the actual local opportunity and operating model. Foreign investment approval and activity-specific permissions form part of the planning, alongside company registration and tax compliance.

Australia

from 2,700€

An Australian company can suit businesses selling locally, recruiting an Australian team or developing a regional operation. Consulting, technology, e-commerce and trading businesses can use it to organise customer and supplier relationships in the market.

The value is strongest where there is a clear commercial reason for a local presence. It gives the business an Australian contracting entity around which banking, employment and ongoing operations can be developed.

The general company tax rate is 30%, with a reduced 25% rate for qualifying base rate entities. Eligibility depends on aggregated turnover and the proportion of passive income, rather than simply whether the company is newly formed.

An Australian proprietary company must have at least one director who ordinarily resides in Australia. International founders should include this local appointment in their setup plans, alongside the expected tax and administration costs.

New Zealand

from 2,500€

New Zealand is worth considering for consulting, technology, trade and service businesses with local or regional growth plans. A company can provide a local entity for customer contracts, recruitment and supplier relationships.

Company information and many corporate changes can be managed through the online Companies Register. This supports ongoing administration while founders focus on developing the business and its commercial relationships.

Most companies pay income tax at 28% on taxable profits. The applicable tax position depends on the company’s residence, activities and deductible business expenses, with ongoing returns and payment obligations to plan for.

At least one director must live in New Zealand, or live in Australia and also be a director of an Australian-incorporated company. This gives international founders a defined local-governance requirement to arrange before incorporation.
